The sepia-toned photo to the left is the only known reference to the former condition of this historic gallery space in the Freer House in Detroit.  For the last several decades preceding its restoration, the skylights had been removed, the space partitioned into offices, then used as a storage area.  We were asked to restore the original condition of the space with the adaptation of a new use.
